People will have different opinions. However, I agree with you that BP is a better coach and the records here at Arkansas is enough to prove it to me. I believe he was fired over consensual and perhaps lying about it and few men will not lie to hide an affair from from their wife and family. Therefore, he was fired over next to nothing. And, we are paying the price. BB is a very good coach. However, unlike BP, since Arkansas doesn’t have a large recruiting base, on average, BB will no have us more than middle of pack in the SEC.

Why aren’t you asking - how our track and field, cross country teams, both men and women teams, the soccer team, baseball team, softball team, golf, and gymnastic teams? Don’t forget the facilities we have.
You fail to look at the full body of work here in our ATHLETIC PROGRAMS. I’m not the least bit worried where our basketball is headed for both men and women teams.
Olympic athletes we produce, top tier athletes at that.

Dude really. First of all it’s football season. Two top sports bring in the money. Which means those are what the fans buy the most tickets for. Track, Soccer, gymnastics, golf…people are not lining up to watch that. Never the less, spend their afternoon talking about it on social media. We are talking football. Not sports as a whole.
Uh Dude really you are correct, it is football season so why mention basketball then?
Coach Bobby Petrino was fired because he had sex with an employee that he had hired. A company (or football program) will always lose a “Sexual Harassment” lawsuit where the Chief Executive Officer (or Head Football Coach) has sex with an employee of theirs. And if the company or football team has a net worth of hundreds of millions, then the employee will be awarded $millions of dollars for being sexually harassed.
The employee is ALWAYS in a weaker position with the football team compared to the Head Coach. Therefore, CBPetrino HAD TO BE Fired…before Arkansas got sued for allowing it’s coach to sexual harass one of his employees and cost us $millions of dollars in a sexual harassment lawsuit.
Petrino wrecked his ability to continue in the position as Head Coach of Arkansas. He put Arkansas in a very vulnerable position that could only be resolved by firing him before we got sued.
For sex Petrino “was willing” to greatly damage the Arkansas football program. Yes, he’s a football offensive genius…that did that to himself and to us.

I wanted to stay on the sidelines because I don’t condone the discussion at this time of the season, but you and I go way way back to WHS days well before CBP fired. Those were the good days. We were the best of friends only divided by this view. No one doubts what CBP did was wrong. No one doubts the potential for liability. It is all about some believing that he had to be fired (You), and others believing he could have been punished in other ways (Me). The hollow point about what we may have loss in a lawsuit means no more to me than the $120 million we will spend on 3,000 new seats. Regardless, it was what Jeff Long thought that matters. (Btw, I was with him last Friday night at Chancellor’s reception in Dallas). Jeff Long is impeccable guy for UA, just like CBP brought greatness, and how CBB is trying to become in my opinion.
What bothers me about all of this, is that I like CBB too, (but it is not accepted). We are 4-1 and off to one of CBB’s best starts. I don’t think it is fair to discount that we have started well thus far this season by praising or trashing CBP. We are one win over beating Bama away from during something historic. As a strong CBP supporter, I wish my fellow comrades would tone down the rhetoric to allow the season to play out. At some point as a fan, you just want to enjoy. A loss to #10 A&M is not the end of the world. I liked CBP soooooo pig soooie much because he won, I will like CBB for the exact same reason when / if he wins. When CBP won 10 and 11 games those back to back years we had 2 losses during those seasons. It is way to early kick the can, CBB is on a pace to win 9 or 10 games this year if you assume that he will win at least one more game he was expected to lose. Last two years CBB won at least 2 games he was expected lose.

Arkansas was NOT vulnerable to anything… The UA would have NO problem with ANY lawsuit. Thats the excuse made up by Jeff Long and the GOBN for firing a GREAT coach… He wouldn’t do things their way. Play the Allen boys and coach Frank Broyles way or we will black ball you. Arthur blank is already dogging you out everywhere you won’t survive this… SO you better agree to our terms Bobby.
