Doesn’t get as much love as other sports, but just won a nice back and forth game with Alabama going into 5th set overtime.
As someone who officiated volleyball, I can appreciate the sport and the vindictive nature of the players. You think football, basketball, soccer or baseball have tough/vicious players. You’ve never seen girls volleyball or their parents.
UA is 11th out of 13 SEC VB teams (Vandy doesn’t have it). But we beat the two teams below us (Moo U and Auburn) and 10th place Bama. It’s gonna take Jason Watson some time to get that program turned around.
Oh yeah, it’s a bunch of freshmen and their best player is a freshman.
Give em time! They will get better. It’s a good thing a lot of fans don’t pay attention or they would be calling for the coaches head!
