Well, HarleyHogidson, I made my living in the same manner as the late Charlie Rich. I simply did not make it as well as HE did. I’m a 70 year old retired professional pianist/composer/arranger/studio producer. I met Charlie on several occasions over the years, but I never really got to know him well personally.
The two songs you mentioned were definitely huge selling hits for Charlie. He had others as well, including “Life has It’s Little Ups And Downs”, “I Keep On Rolling With The Flow”, “Lonely Weekend” and “Mohair Sam”.
I cabbaged onto the “SilverFox” moniker because of my silver hair - in light of which I have shamelessly deluded myself into thinking that it flatteringly promotes a “foxy” image; additionally, the “fox” designation may perhaps (at least initially) engender the patently false impression that I am blessed with an overabundance of wit and wisdom. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
I’m going to stick with my same ole, same ole because I’m just about as old as moses and I’m too cranky to try and change at this late date, besides with no more than I post it won’t matter anyhoo.
Mystery solved. I thought about changing my name. I wanted to be HenryClay but Matt didn’t think it appropriate for me to be hiding behind a screen name.
