You can click on the poll pinned above and see the results, but that does not include the results to the same question posted on the Insiders board. So I put the two together:
Insider board, 3:40 p.m.:
Only if we don’t get caught, 4%
Winning is all that matters, 3%
Don’t want to win that way, 86%
None of the above, 7%.
Lounge, 3:40 p.m.:
Only if we don’t get caught, 15%
Winning is all that matters, 8%
Don’t want to win that way, 69%
None of the above, 8%.
Combining the two:
Only if we don’t get caught, 6%
Winning is all that matters, 4%
Don’t want to win that way, 83%
None of the above, 7%
Comments:
- All I can figure is that those who chose “none of the above” didn’t like how I phrased the choices, since you’re either OK with cheating or you’re not. Unless there’s some nuanced view to recruiting violations that I’m missing.
- Surprised there hasn’t been more response here on the Lounge; four times as many votes on the Insiders board. Insiders can come here and vote on the Lounge if they want, but Lounge-only posters can’t go there.
- So far, my hypothesis that Lounge posters would be more accepting of a more wide-open approach to recruiting is proving true, but not by a huge margin.
- I’ll leave it up for a few more days and see if we get more response on both boards.
