My understanding is that the games were selected by the school, or at least the school had input in the selections.
Whomever made this selection should be fired. I was looking forward to the “takeover” until I saw the lineup. Ultimately I didn’t watch at all.
I can appreciate your viewpoint. I really enjoyed the Strollin’ Nolan game (and I am not a big basketball fan), the Baylor Super-Regional final game, and the two texass 
football games. Getting to see Gary Anderson was really a treat.
