Official TCU MOJO Thread

Hey kids, I’m back.

Honestly I couldn’t remember what the new website was.

Here comes the MOJO. WPS. Let’s take this Big?12? team down to the woodshed.

Honestly, didn’t know you were gone, but welcome back anyway.

Here’s to hoping your wish comes true; won’t be easy though. Not sure how talented TCU is but know from Patterson’s years at TCU, they will be well coached. And they will be ready too play.

If Arkansas can run they ball they can win; if they are get forced into a passing game I’m not sure they can.

I do believe that TCU will be playing like their hair is on fire, as the saying goes. Living in their area, I know they thought they were the better team last year and just let the game get away from them.

I look for a really great game by both teams Saturday. Go Hogs.

FWIW both defenses from last season were not separated by much : ) … /year/2016

#73 TCU 5135 total yards; 428 allowed per game; 2942 pass yards, 245.2 pass yards allowed per game; 2193 rushing yards, 182.8 rushing yards allowed per game; 333 total points allowed, 27.8 pts per game

#74 Arkansas 5144 total yards; 429 allowed per game; 2632 pass yards, 219.3 pass yards allowed per game; 2512 rushing yards, 209.3 rushing yards allowed per game; 369 total points allowed, 30.8 pts per game

TCU like the Hogs had a pretty tough schedule last season and still included 62-22 win at then #17 Baylor to bring them to 5-4 by that juncture. And then very close bowl loss to Georgia who figures to challenge for SEC East this season. Looking back on it, the Hogs 41-38 OT win on the road looks pretty nice! Agreed this should be a very fun game! WPS!

I was surprised to see that TCU’s starting O-Line averages 322lbs while the Hogs O-Line averages 309 with Brian Wallace not starting.
I’m going to be interested how our new 3-4 defense stacks up against the TCU front five. They have that running back, Hicks toting the rock and he played a really good game last year along with speed at the WR spots and that ultra fast WR/KR specialist that burned us last year.
On offense our success will be determined on being physical upfront and rushing for at least 175 yards while eating up time of possession and ending drives with TD’s not field goals and no turnovers.
The tackles will have to do a great job handling the speedy DE’s and keep Austin on his feet in order to keep the chains moving on critical 3rd downs through 4 quarters.
We will have to compete at a high level for 4 Quarters without many major breakdowns in blocking and tackling to earn a victory this weekend.
I believe the Hogs can do it and look forward to watching a much improved team from the start in week 2.

Go Hogs!

My Prediction for TCU game!

It’s game time ladies and gents!

Depth, depth, and more depth!

Hogs will and should play to their strengths with the “ground n pound” ball control style football that will allow Austin Allen to manage the game while playing to his strengths when and only when he has to…keys to victory will be the running back depth, Play Action pass game, Special teams play, and athletic tight ends. All 4 keys will be huge factors in keeping TCU’s offense off the field as well as our Quarterback off the turf. TCU likes to play fast and they will gain yardage with the passing game exposing our secondary all game long. Hogs are confident and matches each offensive score blow for blow with theach hog’s “3 headed running monster machine” that will replicate some of coach BB’s better offenses during his successful tenure with Wisconsin. This will be a Nationally televised home game throw down. It’s sure to be a high-scoring-shoot-out-thriller of a game showcasing two very opposite style offensive teams. The outcome will be about which offense can wear the other team down.

Personally, I believe Austin Allen doesn’t have to out play himself and he throws an all most perfect well managed ball game… Two passing TDs and zero interceptions.

Final out come UA 54 TCU 49. Hog need a TD late in the 4th qtr to pull this one out… Who other than freshman sensation running back CHASE HAYDEN with the most perfect block i’ll have ever seen, giving Austin Allen just enough time to find wide a Open Tight End in the endzone for the 8 yard game winning touchdown pass leaving TCU only 39 seconds on the clock and down by 5…
Special teams comes through for the Hogs pinning the Horned Frogs Deep in their own territory. Time runs out and HOGS prevail with a huge Home win over a nationally ranked team. 2-0 start to the year, national exposure leading to being ranked #24th in the polls by Tuesday!

4 field goals in the game… special teams becoming a strength for Hogs!
4 Running TD’s 4 rbs combine for 372 yards… two 100 yard rushers emerge in this game!
2 Passing TD including game winning pass. 229 passing yards
Defense gets just enough stops! We need secondary help

Just a fun prediction I hope pans out. WPS
