HC Job - Is That Your Final Answer?

I throw my hat at the TV under those circumstances. My wife will ask my daughter how we did and she will reply “Well he only threw his hat twice”

I would be fine with Venables because he would bring a solid attacking defense and (I hope) a high flying Clemson/Oklahoma style offense.

I would love his defense, but how are you so sure he would bring that offense? How do you know what OC he will bring, and can he pry one from the OU/Clemson coaching tree?

Dude…I don’t “know” anything this is all conjecture however it follows that considering the last 20yrs he has worked in programs that had high flying spread offenses he would bring that rather than bring a ground n pound offense.

He said been on the defensive side the entire time. That’s why I asked, I don’t know if he will bring that type offense. I would love his defense, but he has no offensive experience, he needs a good OC.

De Jesus Christo…no he has no experience on the offensive side of the ball but if you honestly believe he has not come up with a personal offensive philosophy based on his experience and would hire an OC based on that I just have no idea what to say to you.

Well, seeing how most DC’s don’t like those types of offenses, he may not like it. That’s what I’m getting at, there is no way to know what Venables will do or not do as HC. Big unknown

How about Larry Culpepper. Seems to be a likeable guy n has had plenty of TV exposure. It would be nice to have something beside Pepsi at the stadium.

With the way the search is going, that’s probably our guy. Anybody like Dr. Pepper?

Heard the play off was his idea, why not make a run at him ! WPS

I think the HC search will become pretty clear today by 10 pm. All of the coaches involved in games will be done with their games and the rumors will stop and speculation will end. Those interested and available will move to the top and the Gus bus will finally load up and move or stay parked. If I had my guess it’s probably going to end up being Venables. He can and has recruited in both Texas and Oklahoma. Also he’s been a part of National Championships at Oklahoma and Clemson. He resume is more in depth than even Gus!
