Game Thread: AR @ TCU

Didn’t think we could pull it out but very proud of our team.

Awesome game. Super proud of our guys.

How about them Hogs!!! What a great game! First, a thumbs up to TCU. They played serious ball tonight.
That was such a clutch game for these Hogs! Great effort and resiliency!!!
And as the Boss Hogs says so elegantly “WOO PIG”

Wow just wow. Cardiac hogs do it again

This game has to make my top 5 games of all time. Unbelievable

If some of these players didn’t believe, then after this game they should never doubt that they can win any game! I’m proud of them and the coaching staff.

Hope Hill enjoys his crow tonight.

The word ‘amazing’ is so overworked these days. But I have to say it…that was amazing, truly amazing.

i HOPE kENNY HILL FEELS LIKE HE MADE THE OTHER TEAM MAD AND HE NOW FEELS BAD WITH A HOME LOSS ON HIS RECORD.

Never before in my entire 70 years of life have I been so thankful and so proud to have been proven so wrong.

It’s funny how much a silly gesture by an immature player can change a game like that. These first two weeks of college football have been wonderful to watch and I was glad to see Ellis, Morgan, and Pulley return to the field. Hopefully there aren’t any unknown injuries like there always seems to be.

Overall today I liked the punt team (aside from the last fluke play). That has improved. Punt return is fair and KO return needs some work to be effective - Reed should have knelt and taken the 25. Field goal defense is still great (helps having 6’ 10’’ in the middle) and field goal unit needs a lot of work. Unclear why we can’t kick out of the endzone like everyone else and it will cost us at some point even more than it did tonight.

Secondary play improved. The offensive line and the offense as a whole looked great tonight. Williams is doing a great job. Great improvement!

There have been many times over the years I have been proud to be a Razorback, but tonight matches them all. I am about to bust! Woo Pig!!

I was all set to whine about the following:

  1. How can our kicking game still be so woeful after 4 years ( a 22 yarder that is a clank to put the game away?
  2. Conditioning, we were gassed and cramping. I think we practice more this year, but I did not see TCU players laid out on the field. Temperatures are actualy very cool for Dallas / FT Wrth thi stim eof the year
  3. We played not too lose late 2nd qtr through late 4th quarter. It just kills me to watch the conservative play when it allows the other team to just stack the box

But the hell with all of that, I go by WINS, and that is what CBB did. Nobody on WHS staff picked Hogs to beat TCU. I can proudly fly my Razorback flag here in Dallas while I walk to the Mailbox.

I am very pleased for CBB, he deserved this win and 2-0 is 2-0. Don’t think anybody will complain about another QB named Allen for a while. I hope to see Dewah & Ty against Texas State. A win over A&M and it is on Woo Pig.

What a win!!!
Things really seem to moving in right direction now, confidence is getting sky high!!

I think the cramping comes down to size of players. TCU has a bunch of little guys cause they go for speed. Arkansas has a bigger team. That and TCU’s offense runs you ragged. Arkansas is more of a plodding type of defense. Just speculating.

2-0 WOO PIG!

From hanging in there, to dominating, to total collapse to regaining our mojo, to Win Baby!

That is fair opinion, but I don’t accept the premise. See Drew Morgan and TCU has many players bigger than Ellis. Football is played in Texas every Thurs through Sunday night, I have never seen so many players from one team and NONE on other team go down due to cramps. Our conditioning is suspect and related to the 21 points given up in 4th qtr. But lets not argue on that issue when we got the win. We have 2 weeks for A&M and it will be air conditioned in Jerry World. Can’t wait. Woo Pig!!!

Hopefully a little less ego and more showing of finding ways to put these type of games on ice as it was A&M 2014, 2015 Ls and Tennessee 2015 W all over again huh? We can win with adversity anytime we want to so that’s well proven!! We still have the Allen magic!! But 27-7 and the fb game is over. TCU panics and would be lucky to finish with 572 yards much less those 28 points in regulation due to our temporary loss of focus (also can’t find that quick, fast, tiny, little 150 pound guy in “heat” of the moment) and losing our mojo after the failed 22 yard kick. .thus the perfect and lucky storm for TCU, like A&M twice all over again. In this case I bet we win 30-14, or maybe 34-14 with jugalar mojo. I hope CBB no longer sell this very promising contending team short again. They may can acheive anything they want now!!!

So yes up 20-7, we have DM, JS Hatcher, and Reed–RZ TDs just waiting to happen with magical AA as we have TCU’s dline on it’s heels with a 2nd and goal from the 5. Maybe the next time the 3rd charm against the Aggies. Just go for the jugular from here on out and also back down in the RZ with all due respect to tremendous games of our RBs. Good teams we need to beat will have very good individual d players. Go ahead and give respect from time to time especially in critical moments in important upcoming games. Vertical game will be coming soon too!!! Go Hogs and yesss…Woopig!!!

Man what a game. I sure am glad we won that one. This team could be a special team by the end of the year. We have a very good defensive line and enough play makers to score on any one and of course this game moved Austin Allen ahead by leaps and bounds. He only had one ball that he forced and almost got picked. Very impressed by this Hog team, if we are undefeated going into the Bama game look out SEC. WPS!!!

It would’ve been a great disappointment to have lost after being up 20-7 (shoulda been more). 4th quarter defense was cringeworthy. However, this team has a lot of heart which cannot be quantified by statistics. Appreciate your take as well, HA.
