I’m not going to spew vitriol here or castigate anyone within the hierarchy of The University Of Arkansas Athletic Department. I WOULD, however, like to submit the simple observation that I would NOT commit - either verbally OR contractually in writing - to an unequivocally specified incremental increase in the monthly, bimonthly, semi annual or annual amount of financial compensation I pay to my lawn care man REGARDLESS of the quality of work and results he exhibits. He might have such a plum arrangement with any number of my neighbors, - BUT HE WOULDN’T GET IT FROM ME. If he should insist upon such a contractual arrangement, I’d obtain the services of another lawn care specialist. One size does not arbitrarily fit all. Laudable results should be indisputably established before kudos - and gratutitous mega dollars - are generously forked over.
Coach Enos deserves a huge raise if use CBB as benchmark.
Never once did I “spew vitriol”. I am sure Dan Enos is a nice fella with a beautiful family. I know that Jeff Long is a good and decent man. That’s not the problem. The problem is that I am tired of reading about these guys getting raises when all that is churned out is mediocrity because our Athletic Director can’t seem craft a contract that holds coaches accountable. There has to be some push back. Unfortunately, we (the passionate fans) have be the ones who cry foul. I wish Jeff Long would have done it for us but he seems to like to hand out pay increases with very little to show for it. That whole culture needs to change and that is why I get so upset.
