What an ugly, gritty win. Best defense of the year in the second half of the second half. We’re back in the hunt for the tourney, but still have little room for error. We can’t lose at home again, and need to at least split our remaining SEC road games. That would make us 12-6 and probably 4th place behind Kentucky, Florida, and South Carolina.
Did just enough to win and that’s all that matters at the end of the day. Winning on the road builds confidence quicker than just about anything a team can do especially a close game. Proud of the way they continued play and not giving up when behind in the first half and the way we finished the game. MA is shucking the opinion that he can’t win on the road, congratulations to the team and coaches! WPS
I think at the most only 4 teams from the SEC will get in KY, SC FL, and the battle will be for what SEC team grabs that 4th spot. Miss St played KY tough tonight, they probably have the edge as of now.
Arkansas is rebounding much better, they lapsed a little bit early on, but in the 2nd half, they rebounded really well tonight. If it were not for that long rebound they nabbed there at the end, we lose that game, that’s a fast break the other way that ignites the bldg on fire. Mike coached a great game tonight, he tinkered just enough, brought in shooters when we fell behind, and defense in the end, which was the deciding factor. They were getting a lot of points in the paint in the 2nd half, mike’s adjustments made the difference tonight. Hopefully they can keep it going against a desperate LSU squad at home on Sat…GHG!!!
Good win, now we need half a dozen more in a row, or we’re toast
I thought we played poorly from an offensive standpoint. Made to many turnovers and uncharacteristically poor free throw shooting overall. Which is what makes this victory all the more satisfying. We won the game with hardnosed defense and battling our butts off on the boards! CMA did a terrific job managing the game. He pulled all the right strings.
A couple of tidbits on the Hogs.
Arkansas has the 4th best home record in the country since 2011.
Hogs are 4-1 in it’s last 5 SEC road games.

[/quote]We were very lucky to win since Texas A&M has better athletes, but tonight they were out coached. If we make the tourney, I will attribute it to coaching because almost always most of the SEC teams will have better athletes.
