If Hayden played, I missed it. Does anyone know what the story is on him? He looked good in the first game. Is he hurt?
He played for a series early but was ineffective and I never saw him again. Bielema addressed it but I don’t remember what he said.
How would anyone (including & ESPECIALLY our head coach) know he would be ineffective after two carries?

David Williams has the best day - had 12 carries for 65 yards - and maybe should have gotten more carries.
Dewah Whaley had 11 carries for 32 yards.
Chase Hayden 2 carries for 1 yard - is not a power back and Arkansas was having even less success outside than inside.
TJ Hammonds also tried to get wide once to no avail against TCU’s speedy defense.
I’m not a head coach and not even a great analyst - as I stated elsewhere today - but I could tell it wasn’t his day.
Two carries…1yrd. Even with that small sample that is ineffective in anyones book.
Using that philosophy, should Allen have been benched? Larger sample size and truly ineffective.

I doubt if there was an offensive player that worked up a sweat. The best thing for the fans to do is to forget it! The coaches and players need to watch tape and fix this.
Well honestly yes…something should have been done. Allen held the ball too long but that can be attributed to tne WR not getting open.
Austin Allen will be fine, assuming our receivers make improvents… they say the most improvement is made between games 1 and 2… we can count TCU as our game 1 Considering they were a senior laden way more experienced team than the week 1 opponent.
That being said 9 of 23 we could have put COLE KELLY on the field for a few drives to switch

Us message boarders are always critical, it’s even worse going into the bye week after a total loss with a tough schedule ahead.
