Chase opted out. This is quitting.
Their offense revolved around throwing over the middle to Marshall (or the tight end). And he really took some shots of late. Those knees are worth a lot of money. I get it.
But yeah, he quit. Not any other way to put it.
When the going gets tough, you discover who are quitters and who are not. I’d be willing to bet things of this nature will factor into NFL evaluations. They want players… not quitters.
Opting out at this point in the season is just taking a big dump on your teammates. Telling them “I” is more important than “team”.
Didn’t he give a big speech to the LSU team before the AR game saying he was in it with them till the end of season and blah blah blah.
