They are not hitting the ball yet and not getting consistent pitching…Hope they stay that way until we leave town!
Mississippi State is without JT Ginn right now and its bullpen had to throw 14 innings over the weekend, not counting the five that a bullpen pitcher had to throw as a No. 3 starter. There is a trickle down effect that creates a recipe for trouble in the midweek. Still, you would think MSU could score more than four against a SWAC team.
Yes and considering Texas Southern has not held anybody under 10 runs I don’t believe, if they have it hasn’t been many… losing Ginn would be very big blow for them because they are very much like us having to rely on a lot of new pitchers. I have watched them play simultaneously with us several times this yearand they have a good offense that will break loose eventually hopefully it will be after we leave town though.
Our pitching depth seems to be a little deeper than Miss St!
The hogs are just a work on progress to identify the Sunday starter.
Bolden just needs to get his strength back. He can get more than 3 innings right now. His stuff is good!
Adams just needs experience but may need to gain that experience in mid week starts. Time will tell.
We have depth.
