OM has kicked our butt for years! It’s time for some payback but this offense 3/4 games has scored 2 runs or less.the Ole Miss left-handers very good but we did get 3 runs off him of in 5 innings.
Wicklander makes me nervous the way he pitched last week Ole Miss hits LH worse than we do but still have some very good right-handed hitters hopefully wicklander will be on like he has most all year and we can get 3-4 runs and move on.
The way Ole Miss played today they may come out tomorrow hitting the ball! If our offense shows up and we avoid the BB’s the hogs will win! Who ever DVH decides to start should be able to get a (W).
There’s a thread somewhere on the board that says Wicklander is starting tomorrow.

Yes, Wicklander is starting and I’m really concerned. He didn’t pitch well his last start. He needs to have a career game for us to win.
Overboard a little? He needs to throw his normal 5 innings when he starts for us to be in the game. What we need to do is generate some offense again.
Definitely does not have to pitch a perfect game he just has to be able to throw strikes on the corners and change speeds Ole Miss hits left hand worse than we do he just can’t leave his up in the middle of plate like he did A&m
Some of you talk as though every team we play is better than we are. Don’t forget we won 40 games this season so far! We won 20 SEC games! We are co-champions of the West division! C’mom Guys, don’t act like we’re on the verge of losing before we even play the game.
Yes, we will probably face some good pitchers, but haven’t we all season?? Lost some, won most!
Our pitching has been good enough. Not the best staff in the League, but certainly not the worst either.
We may not win tomorrow, we may not win this tournament, no guarantees in this game of baseball, but that doesn’t mean they are better than we are. We just have to play up to our potential. That has been pretty good so far!!
That’s his role in our online family … to identify the strenghts of each opponent, and convey great concern that we will surely get our butts kicked if we don’t play to the very best of our ability.
What’s amusing is that more often than not we did just fine: as you astutely offered … 40 & 20.
No, my “concern” will be the day youdaman does NOT come on the board before a game and report the sky is falling. That’s when I’ll know for sure we’re screwed!

All I did was state the obvious and there is reason to be concerned especially the way Wicklander pitched his last game, but that certainly shouldn’t be confused as I think the sky is falling. It’s annoying that OM, a team I loathe, has beaten us so often over the past several years, but none of that has any bearing on what will happen today. It’s not like OM has had a better program & wins because they’re just better. Their wins have been more like a run of a coin falling on heads several times in a row. The games we played earlier this year (or maybe even last year) might give us some clue about what could happen today, but nothing that happened 2+ years ago tells us anything about today’s game.
I agree NE… I think we are the better program just amazing how we don’t seem to ever play our best against them. I’m tired of it hopefully we give them beat down on them today!!
It’s the same scenario for almost every game we play. We don’t always have to be perfect to win games, but against some teams (especially in the SEC) we have to play better and with some hot bats.
The Hogs have rose to the occasion(s) more times than not this year.
So after we kick OM’s arse all will be good and move on to the next game.
I despise the rebnecks, and I REALLY despise rebneck baseball. I really, really, really hope we beat the tar out of them.
