Why Arkansas has defeated all spread teams.....

…since Tennessee last year but one, thanks to the blocked field goal that the offense had drove well to set up against MissState! Just look at the game winning play last night. There were seven TCU defenders on the ground or being blocked back by Austin Allen and two Hog blockers when he scored. Most of that seven had been knocked to the ground trying to stop our QUARTERBACK from running in the game winning TD. Spread teams and their defenses created to stop other spreads just don’t hold up against us when we play well. And this offense can easily get a lot better as the season goes on. Froholdte showed the way on Sprinkle’s TD catch as he helped Ragnow with the TCU nose man and then scraped off to pick up the late blitzing linebacker coming through his gap. He learned from Louisiana Tech and got great coaching this week. The boy is learning fast. Now if we can just get Jackson to quit jumping ahead of the snap and settle in at right tackle we can be very good in the O-line. Austin and his backs are also getting better at spotting and responding to blitzes. This offense that defeated TCU’s vaunted offense is going to get much more effective as the season goes on. If we can just get the special teams to do the same. JMVHO.
