Hogs+ or 24/7 hawgs sports? I have a subscription to 24/7, but thinking abt canceling and trying out hogs+. Any thoughts?
Both good, IMO 247 has better recruiting info but Hogs + has great videos that you can’t find anywhere else
All I know is that Hogs+ is a great site. IMO
Agree on 24/7, and I’d like to see these behind videos I’ve seen on there site even though there locked to non subscribers.
Think imma try it out, only $7 I think a month.
Hogs+ is definitely worth the price
I really enjoy Hogs+. Got on it when Clay went with it, but really have not seen much of Clay, but really like the other stuff. I do not know anything about 24/7. It may be really good, but have no idea.
But when Clay does interviews they are dynamite. His interviews are alone worth the price to me.
I am fortunate in having access to Hogs+ through my daughter’s account. It seems to be slick in presentation but still needing work as an athletic department information site. Comparing it to Wholehog or Hawgsports is a little unfair considering the unfretted access of Hogs+. It is somewhat disappointing in what it has not done with this unfretted access to bring a broader array of programming covering all sports. I guess will see if this changes but right now it causes me not to recommend it from a “choice.” Both Wholehog and Hawgsports are better sources for information with better staffing and much more in-depth reporting. If Hogs+ was a one-stop for all the AD’s programs as similar sites at other power 5 schools, it would be an essential site rather than it current novelty with a few high quality production such as Clay’s interviews and the halftime show.
Thanks redpig. Good info to know as these services are all evolving right now. I suspect non Administrative sites will fair better in long run as they are more linked to the fan base with recruiting, all sports notes and immediate coverage of breaking news.
My take is a little different seeing a break between privately owned more nationally support franchises such as 24/7 with its ties to CBSsports and advertisers or WholeHogs/HI tied to a Newspaper based media corporation or a university athletic department owned site like Hogs+. I wonder if we will see the SEC become more active using the SECN platform to affiliate more closing with the conference athletic departments’ information sites. Bringing OU and Texas into the conference will likely increase fan based internet activity.
