What's with the rumor that Mason Fine might be a grad transfer possibility..................

…is there any truth to this? https://247sports.com/player/mason-fine-78299/

He breaks passing records at every stop H.S./College…I would absolutely love to have him!!

well the thing about him is he is a offense that is different than we have shown,he gets rid of the ball quickly to a lot of crossing and slant routes and we have not ran either of them very much at all.totally different world in the SEC

I know what you are seeing this year, but you need to go back and watch some SMU games from 2016 and 2017.

They are all over you tube.

Such as this one:

Lord I hope so !

Please, please, please :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Yes, yes, if we whiff on Bryant. And if he can come in January.

i watched quite a bit of SMU before the season…hopefully with better players coming in we will open it up more.

I guess he can get over the big tall SEC Dlinemen. I think he’s about 5-10.

He’s listed at 5’11" so the same as Drew Brees, Johnny Manziel and Baker Mayfield.

If you can sling the ball and have talent, 5’ 10"- 6’ 0" is not an issue.

Reading & reacting to what the defense is doing is what the best Qb’s do in the NFL & College. Arm strength & speed are secondary believe it or not.

Correct. you named “3” others. I could name a few more over the last 20 years. Not questioning his talent, yet. Does he run well, shorter QB’s tend to work better in a moving pocket ala Drew Brees.

Russell Wilson is 5-11 too. He’s done OK.

Drew Brees does just fine in the pocket. But generally a smaller guy does need either nice throwing lanes in the pocket or to roll out. The offense we have now can provide both. I thought Fine was pretty impressive in our game, he runs that offense very smoothly.
