I’ll give Van Horn credit for predicting a great season from Kenley in the fall. He told me in October that Kenley would be drafted and sign after this season. Looks like that’s going to come true.
Kenley made maybe the biggest leap in team value for any player. Although, you could see the defensive prowess and versatility coming. And maybe second overall to Campbell as an individual player. I was really afraid he wouldn’t be able to lose the yips he had with men on base. But he did, and his command of multiple pitches might make him one of the longest lived MLB players on the team.
Right now, I’d take Kenley and Ezell whenever a hit is really needed.
