We are not playing up to our billing

The silly errors are killing us.

And our vaunted offense has been anything but potent.

Big park, bad air. No one is putting up numbers here.


I think our hitters are being taught to elevate the ball similar to the major leagues. You can see all the fly balls that have been caught on the warning track that would be home runs in Baum. This ball park is too big to elevate the balls. We do need to hit more line drives. But we will hit better starting today when we are not is such a cavernous park.

It’s not as if our offense hadn’t earned the accolades it got in the preseason. They’ve done it before and are a year older. In a small window of games our offense could be shut down. That’s baseball. Over 50+ games they will be fine.
