Way OT Bragging again

Yesterday JTG Daugherty Racing won the Daytona 500. It was a remarkable win for a single car team and the first win for a team with an African American principle owner to win a race. Little Debbie was a primary sponsor for this team (#47 Car) for several years. Tad and Jodi Geschickter are the JTG part of the ownership and are wonderful people. As is Brad Daugherty. I was highly involved in he Little Debbie racing program and spent a good deal of time with these folks. Brad always called me Arkansas because I ribbed him a lot about the Hogs beating his North Carolina team in my hometown in 1984. I am so proud of this team. Just wonderful people who love racing. Absolutely could not happen to better folks.

Congrats, Danny. Brad would have looked better in Cardinal and White, lol.

A great Accomplishment. Life changing really and especially so for a 1 car team, and I am certain that nice check that goes with the win will really help.

When I saw the race report I thought about you, Danny. Knew you’d be thrilled.

And Brad seems to be a really good guy for a Heel.

He’s really a terrific guy. Tells great stories about Jordan and he absolutely loved Dean Smith. I was with him at some races and he did some personal appearances for us. People flock to him and he has time for everyone. He really likes and respects Joe Kline. A good day in so many ways. Especially since he beat Jordan for being the first African American principle owner to win a NASCAR Cup Series race. I’d love to hear the ribbing he’s giving his old friend.
