Wow…he was a great, great young prospect and tore into the league. One of my heroes as I was a young lad playing Babe Ruth ball. I even tried to pitch like him…for a bit. On the other hand, my team growing up was the O’s…I was more of a Mike Cuellar than a Blue.

He could flat out bring It. Very unusual delivery, hid the ball so well you couldn’t see it and then he would throw that 95 right on by you…RIP Vida
