Vandy offers 2023 in-state

Arkansas, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and other offers.

This kid is one of the most impressive freshmen (soph to be) I’ve seen. So poised on the floor. If I hadn’t known, I would have thought he was a Jr or Sr.

When the 2023 player ratings come out, where do you expect him to be ranked? I know the initial rankings are probably going to be crazy with no AAU ball, but to me, he looks like at least top 50, if not top 20 and a 5-star.

Yes, as a 9th grader, he was one of the best players in the best Hoops conference in the state.

Top 50 could be a safe projection. If he keeps growing, which it looks like he could, it becomes safer.

This site scouts younger players decently, and they have him at #32. Blocker and a few others are ranked, too.

Thanks for the info and link.

Have you seen Blocker play, either on film or in person? If so, since they are both ranked as PGs, how would you differentiate their talents? Warren seems to definitely be a “scoring” PG, if, indeed he ends up as a point guard, especially if he grows a few inches. At this stage of their development, who would you favor? Does one appear to have a higher ceiling than the other? Could they play comfortably together on the floor? Thanks.

Harley, I wish I had answers for you. I’m frustrated that I don’t. The virus screwed up my two main weekends when I see most instate players. I’ve only seen limited highlights on both, so I just don’t have a good feel on any of that yet.
