Blaine didn’t have nearly his best stuff today; he had zero control of his fast ball.
When he DID throw it for strikes, the broomheads hit him pretty hard; they stranded 5 in the first three innings.
Having said that, Blaine showed his competitiveness by battling through 6 scoreless innings (throwing almost exclusively off-speed pitches) … largely a result of no walks (maybe one) and stellar fielding.
