I recall (maybe on another site) a MS State guy warning that the new UA pitching coach was “known” for his pitchers coming up with season ending injuries. Do you know if there is any truth to this claim? Was there a history of injuries at his recent coaching stops? I didn’t think much of at the time, but this is kind of concerning. Of course the MS State guy was all “just wait and see”.

I have heard that, but haven’t checked to see how many were injured at Mississippi State last season or what the circumstances were regarding their injuries.

I’ve been told that Keaton McKinney’s elbow injury probably was suffered two years ago, but it didn’t fully pop until the preseason. It would explain the drop in velocity that he had last season.
