Update on poll results, Friday afternoon

You can click on the poll pinned above and see the results, but that does not include the results from the same question posted on the Lounge. So I compiled the info from both.

Insider board, 3:40 p.m.:
Only if we don’t get caught, 4%
Winning is all that matters, 3%
Don’t want to win that way, 86%
None of the above, 7%.

Lounge, 3:40 p.m.:
Only if we don’t get caught, 15%
Winning is all that matters, 8%
Don’t want to win that way, 69%
None of the above, 8%.

Combining the two:
Only if we don’t get caught, 6%
Winning is all that matters, 4%
Don’t want to win that way, 83%
None of the above, 7%

Comments:

  • All I can figure is that those who chose “none of the above” didn’t like how I phrased the choices, since you’re either OK with cheating or you’re not. Unless there’s some nuanced view to recruiting violations that I’m missing.
  • Surprised there hasn’t been more response on the Lounge; four times as many votes on the Insiders board. Insiders can go over there and vote on the Lounge if they want, but Lounge-only posters can’t come here.
  • So far, my hypothesis that Lounge posters would be more accepting of the Ole Miss/Auburn approach to recruiting is proving true, but not by a huge margin.
  • I’ll leave it up for a few more days and see if we get more response on both boards.
