Jolly, a 6-4 guard that Arkansas has targeted, had 23 points, 13 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists and 2 blocks in Trinity Valley’s 82-70 over Shelton State Monday in the opening round of the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kan.
His team faces South Plains tonight at 6:30 p.m.
Sean Miller-Moore, a 6-5, 190-pound guard for Moberly, Mo., Area CC, had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block as Moberly beat Northeastern Oklahoma A&M 82-73 on Tuesday afternoon.
Moberly moves on to play Vincennes Wednesday night at 6.
The tournament now features 24 teams and last all week.
I don’t know about now, but he originally signed with Cuonzo Martin and Cal. Then the issue came up, he reopened his recruitment and committed to Baylor. Then ended up in JUCO. His original (HS) list included: Cal, Baylor, Gonzaga, Okie Light, SMU, with interest from (after asking for release from Cal): Texas, Florida, Missery, and GT.
I’d be interested if any of those schools reached out again, especially with Cuonzo now at Missouri.
