The guy is an excellent coach. We could have done and have done a lot worse than hire him. He holds his own against Oklahoma and Texas and seems to have a good team every year. He is aggressive and full of confidence. Every time I watch Oklahoma State, the stadium is full and the place is rockin’. One of these days we will get the right guy…maybe we have him now…we’ll see.
When we lose Arkansas recruits to Oklahoma St I usually start with the “how did the coaching staff let this happen?” feelings. Then I remember the kids signed up to play for Gundy and it makes a little more sense.
When was the last time Gundy has been in the top 10?? Never When was the last time Gundy has been in the last 25 ranking Never ?? as I recall. So if my statements stands, why the heck do you want him?? Yes he has a big loud mouth, so why???

Not saying I necessarily ever wanted him, but a few years ago he was within a few plays of a BCS national championship appearance. And to answer your specific question about when was the last time he had OK State in the Top 10, that would be September of 2017 when they hit #6. They finished last year as #14, to answer your question of when they finished the year in the Top 25.
I love Gundy and hate a lot of what happens on social media, especially the calling out of players. But I’ll also say, it’s hard for a multi-millionaire to understand what it’s like to be late on a payment because they are on two completely different financial plains. And that’s not excusing people for being late on a payment.
I was going to make a similar post, because it came off poorly to me as well. While I think he probably misspoke, linking unemployment with someone continuously living off the system, but like you said, a multimillionaire with a hair trigger tongue may lack perspective. Don’t disagree with much of the disdain for much of social media, but to me there is a fine line between being a straight shooter and being a jerk.
I’m reading a book now on leadership. I ought to send it to Gundy. The general premise is “don’t be a jerk, don’t be stupid.” Gundy does do some of that at times. He can and should do better.
