Former Auburn DL Andy Boykin said he will visit on Jan. 31-Feb 2 weekend.

DE Eric Thomas of Pensacola BTW said he’ll visit Jan. 17-19. He had 60 tackles, 27 TFL, 14.5 sacks, 1 int and 6 FF as a senior. Best I can tell he had an offer from Colorado State under the old staff.

Keep an eye on these DL prospects and how the dots might connect to the next DL coach since the D Line coach is supposedly in place and just not yet announced because he is still coaching! Arkansas has put together a great staff so far but need another home run hire for DL as this is an area of huge need.
Absolutely love Thomas! That kid is a beast and the Pensacola area is absolutely loaded with great football so he will be well prepared to step in and possibly play early.
to that end, the rumored and he who seems to want to be here was a big GA influence for Boykin. However, on 24/7 it says we 13 SDE’s on campus and 2 committed… Is that a real 13 or a lot of walkons and the like who are probably just never gonna see game time?

GA was involved (a little late) and Boykin was mutually interested because of his attachment to DL coach, Tray Scott. Boykin is GA boy and early it looked to be GA Dawgs and ray Scott was the big attraction. Transfer Scott to AR and maybe there is still a connection. Rodney Garner is hard to beat as a DL recruiter, but Boykin seems to have excaped the gravity of Auburn.
