As Andy Staples points out here, since a transfer counts against your 25 (or 29 in our case), some of these kids aren’t going to find a new school. And they may not be welcome to stay at their old school either.

Do all conferences limit the number of signees to 25? I know the SEC does.
Believe it applies to all Division I teams.
Initial counters is an NCAA rule. So is the rule that we can count back because we didn’t sign 25 last year. But 25 ICs is the rule, regardless of conference. All signing 29 means is that we fill up our 25 from last year then move on to this year, which is why Ole Miss signed 31; they haven’t been able to sign full classes because of their probation.
