Tony Elliott for insiders

Any chance Morris tries to bring him over from Clemson as a possible OC?

It’s at least conceivable. I heard Bo’s interview with Elliott yesterday from the Broyles Award and he talked about how Morris taught him a great deal in the four years they worked together at Clemson. But as we’ve noted regarding Venables, Clemson is a pretty sweet deal for an assistant. They win a lot, pay well, are in a very fertile recruiting area and their job security is very good by college football standards. Head coaching jobs have not been enough of a lure to pry Venables loose. It would probably take a lot of money to get Ellliott away, and he already makes $800K.

And he’ll be in line for a raise - or a head coaching position - as the winner of the Broyles Award.
