Thoughts to ponder

Muss seems to be working out his roster and like Dr Scholl’s they are a gellin at just the right time.

Now that being the case I got to ponder what will happen if/when Smith returns. I want to see him on the Hog court… he has way too much talent for us to be missing that, but will he disrupt the hard fought for chemistry that has finally made an appearance. I hope not, but I do think it is something to consider.

I wonder about the team chemistry as well. Someone will lose minutes, who would that be?

He’s a big time player. He will help in many ways.

I think he remains engaged enough to not interfere with the chemistry

I don’t think minutes will be a big deal. We could use the quality depth. 3 of these guys are playing nearly every minute.

If and when Nick Smith is able to play he will help!
On both ends of the floor. The hogs won’t see much zone because he can bust the zone from the 3 point land. I hope he is able to play.

Smith may be arriving just in time. The minutes Black and Devo are putting in as ball handlers and the wear and tear on them from their offensive and defensive games would make it a really big deal to get a third guy into that mix who can also score.

I understand the concern. However, consider these things.
–Muss ain’t gonna let it impact team chemistry. Seriously. I trust him.
–Nick and Devo are from the same area. I am sure they have known each other most of their lives. By all accounts Black and Walsh came to Fayetteville in large part because of Nick. My point is, I think Nick is liked and respected.
–Nick Smith, from what I have seen, understands the game. As does Black, He will get his shots etc…but he will also fit in.
–They all practiced and played together all summer. They know Nick. Nick knows them.

The only issue Muss is gonna have is what 5 to finish the game with. But that’s a GOOD problem to have.

For those worried about chemistry, you may want to think about anatomy. AB and Devo are playing a lot of minutes and poor AB seems to be taking a pretty significant pounding, so getting Nick back seems a really good thing to me.

If this was a senior laden team I could see that happening but with such a young team I see no issues at all. Also, the twins are underrated, they have grown as much or more when it comes to contributing to the cause. WPS

Our three guards need NSJ to come back so they can get a few blows and not log such high minutes. AB especially could use a break on his knee. This is one tough team playing through injuries
