we may finally beat Bama. They’re so strong on defense but their offense is not what it has been. QB is talented but will make some bad decisions, especially on the road. We get them relatively early. I like our chances this year. Just gotta keep taking it one game at a time.
Bama has a lot of poise. They don’t rattle.
They might have the best defense of Sabans career, they have a dynamic QB and WR. I’ll believe when the clock hits 00:00
Not sweating Bama up next A&M
Stop giving this one away and win it
What about their QB makes him dynamic?
OLine not yet up for Alabama DLine. Maybe in three weeks.
The “best defense of Saban’s career” just gave up 43 points to the Rebnecks. And gave up 10.6 yards per pass attempt. Ole Miss has good receivers, but Morgan, Hatcher, Reed and Sprinkle ain’t chopped liver either.
Don’t know how to give an “uptick” on this board (just came over when they scrapped WHS board), but if I did you would have just gotten one.!
Arkansas must keep improving in the offensive line to be ready to protect Austin Allen for Alabama. This week it’s two great defensive ends from A&M. They will have all they want in those two. Tackles must improve, IMO.
Ole Miss has almost no running game and that’s where the Hogs are different than the Black Bears. The Hogs may be the most balanced offense in the West before it’s all over.
Let’s see what happens this week before we get the big head… my first inclination is NO WAY.
BB should barely look at Alcorn St and just get ready for Saban, but of course no coach will ever admit this taboo.
Those OTackles will have a whole lot to do with determining our fate. That is most often the case and it will always be so in football. These guys stepup and we could have a great season. If not, the season will also be if not. The coahes know it. TA&M knows it. Will see what happens next week against those ends, but our tackles had better start playing properly and soon.
It seems we have a QB. He can make the calls and he can throw the ball. The Oline (and backs), must keep him from getting killed!
I assure you my post had nothing to do with “getting the big head.” It also has nothing to do with disregarding the games we have to play prior to hosting Alabama in Fayetteville. I know the Hogs have an epic matchup Saturday that is of utmost importance to our season in Dallas. This post was made yesterday while watching Alabama play Ole Miss and comparing their team with ours. I live in Tuscaloosa and have watched almost every minute of all three Bama games this year. I have watched every minute of the Hogs this season. I know very well the weaknesses of the Razorbacks. It is hard to compare teams until they actually step on the field against one another. Was just stating an observation and my opinion that the Hogs have the talent and coaching to beat Alabama this year. Will it happen? Who knows. But I’m as optimistic this year as I have been in many years. I’m sure tired of losing to them, and I’m sure Coach B and the Hogs are as well.
One game at a time.
Up next aTm.
I was really surprised when Saban named a true freshman as his starting QB. He had to know that decision would likely cost him an “L” this year but must have felt it was his best option either for this year or for building the future. He may get lucky but the season is a long grind for upper classmen, much less a kid one year removed from high school. He is going to have a bad game or two. It might as well happen at RRS.
Amen to all of that ---- but back to your first statement. I gotta believe the OL will come around, but if not, that offense won’t be balanced with a backup QB. And tell AA to get out of bounds or slide against Alcorn — and Enos to quit running QB sneaks against TSU with a big lead. That just wasn’t smart I didn’t think.
The coaches have had all of the SEC games circled on the calendar since last year. A win over A&M comes first in their eyes right now. Nothing else matters as it is one game at a time.
Got to correct myself after today’s article. Ha, Enos said the same thing we all see — get out of bounds or slide when it isn’t super important. Our man Austin — Ya gotta love that about him though.
