The Undefeated on covering Nolan

Marc Spears, who writes about the NBA for the ESPN.com site focused on minority issues and athletes, started his journalism career in 1995 covering the Hogs for the Tulsa World. He writes about that here. The video on this page is also worth a look; showed me things about Nolan I’d never seen.

Wow, thanks for sharing this. I know the likelihood of mending fences back then was small but what we gave away from a basketball standpoint was tragic. We had Iguadala coming, JJ Sullinger on the team, and based on this video it’s clear that Mike Conley, Jr would have been a Razorback if Nolan were still there. And who knows, maybe Jared Sullinger would have too. I had heard that Conley likely would have been a Razorback had Nolan been the coach before. Hearing what Conley has to say about Nolan I now have no doubt.

Well… water under the bridge.

Unfortunately there is too much water under the bridge and we have been drowning in it ever since. Hopefully Mike is going to make us forget that in 2020-21 season, if we land Moses Moody and a 6-9 Chris Moore and our 2018 freshmen will be juniors.

Thanks for the link.

Humbling.

Walk a mile in my shoes is what comes to my mind.
