Cle Elum Regional:

A little surprised at how well the Big Ten schools did, given the weather factor for much of the spring. You expect the SEC, ACC and Pac-12 to do well. Little Dozen only advanced one team. Two host teams advanced, two narrowly missed. Michigan State finished seventh, OU finished eighth in their regionals.

Also congrats to Arkansas Tech, which finished second in its Division II regional and advances to nationals.

Thank you Swine for posting the results of each region.

As far as national rankings go, seven teams outside the top 24 (24 teams will be in the NCAA) advanced. One, Indiana, was not ranked at all (I think the rankings go 50 deep; the Hoosiers were #55 at Golfstat). So seven teams inside the top 24 ended their seasons today. The highest ranked team going home for the summer is #9 South Carolina, which dug its grave in the Hogs’ regional by shooting 10 over in the first round and never recovered.
