Stumbled on to this and gotta say it was very interesting. A 3D printed airless basketball that performs just like the old standard basketball. Just this one never needs air… still I have to wonder how sturdy it is and how easily one of those little frameworks might break. Wonder how the aerodynamics of all those holes affect shooting?
If a normal basketball gets low on air you can always just pump it up, but I’m guessing if one of those frameworks breaks on an airless, then you have to buy a new one.
