The Aggies won 5-1 tonight in Nashville. Nathan Dettmer pitched seven innings.
Bubba and I talked about it this week on the podcast, I don’t know that a lot of teams want any part of Texas A&M right now. The Aggies have won six of their last eight, all against teams that were ranked.

On the other hand, this doesn’t look like a vintage Vanderbilt team.
I think we can sweep Vanderbilt in Fayetteville in a couple of weeks. It’d sure be nice to do that. We have AU & Bama on the road & both those will be hard series to win. Nobody is going to catch TN for the SEC, but I’d sure like to win the SECW and secure a high seed for the NCAA.
Sweeps are very hard to come by. I shoot for 2 out of 3 every weekend for my expectation no matter who we play.
That’s reasonable, but I’m still hoping for the sweep. I think it’s doable.
I am always happy with two out of three in the SEC. Real happy. And winning one on road in SEC is hardly bad.
That’s .500 for the season in the SEC. Usually good enough for an NCAA bid, but I’d like to exceed that when possible. We’re ahead of that pace right now. I prefer that.
I don’t want that to be the norm. Just won’t bother me when or if any of that happens.
