The betting line is a little high, isn’t it? Yea, A+M should be favored, but by 15? I’m not a gambler, but that looks pretty good to me.
I would have thought 7 or 8 points. They did beat a good Florida team but also struggled with Vanderbilt to win by 5. The history on this game tells me it will be close and decided in OT or late 4th quarter…
Vegas has the spread at 11 this morning…
I wouldn’t be surprised if the line is single digits by kickoff. It reminds me a little of the Auburn week. Auburn opened as a big favorite, but the line fell all week.
Aren’t the hogs 4-0 against the spread this year?
I think the Georgia game was a push. Dawgs by 27 was the line I saw.
The early line is usually off-shore and doesn’t include the strip casinos. This morning Caesars/Harrahs opened at Hogs +11 and MGM/Mirage opened at 10.5. Those 2 are usually the only lines I look at, since they own well over half of the main strip casinos.
I still like the Hogs a lot at +10 or 11. I basically never bet the Hogs in any sport because I know I can’t remain objective. However, If it stays at these numbers, I might have to take a long look at both the spread and the money-line bets.
Don’t know, have any idea or even care what the line will be Saturday the only thing I do know is the Razorbacks are in it to win it !! These guys come to play and have more heart and fight than anyone thought possible before these guys took the field and proved that a new era has begun in Arkansas football. WPS
We had Georgia listed as a 28-point favorite 24 hours before the game. It might have fallen to 27 by kickoff.
Is what our defense has been doing sustainable? Did the two week break help us? hurt us? Help TAM more? The game is away, in our most hostile test to date. Will we get the calls against TAM? or will it be like AU?
There are a lot of unanswered questions and Vegas is right more than it is wrong. I suspect the line will move down, but a 2 touchdown loss is a real possibility.
Multiple, multiple outs, including offshore. Could have easily gotten 27 1/2.
That’s if you waited to kickoff, 28 + earlier in the week.
