I actually hope it is someone who just hates Alabama and wants to paint them in a bad light. At least the meanness and utter inability to connect on a basic human level would be understandable.
But…
We have a major problem today with critical thinking–and I don’t mean IQs. I’m referring to a basic ability of forecasting how your decisions might impact others and how they can change the way people view you–even those who love you. I could see this guy thinking that he is supporting Miller and the team during a difficult time. It’s us against the world, he’s thinking. At no point does it cross his mind that any decent human being–including many if not most Bama fans–would cancel the whole damn basketball season, NCAA tournament, football season, and more to give that child his mother back.
My guess is that if you actually brought these thoughts to the fan, he would look blankly in your eyes and never even get the point–and I mean he literally would not comprehend them.
People are not in a good place right now. I actually think we’re getting better than where we previously were in the past 2-5 years, but we still have a ways to go. (But, that could be my naïve optimism coming through.)

Has there been any word if it was a real Bama fan? Sounds like a good way for a Bama hater to make Bama look bad and as Harley said, hurt Bama’s recruiting.

I’m judging the idiots who wore this. Does not matter if he was a Bama fan or not. It was beyond inappropriate. I’m still shaking my head at the Bama brass for their lack of concern for the death and antics of Oats and the gun runner.

PJ I appreciate your willingness to be fair and to wait until all the evidence comes out in certain matters. But here, we need to strongly assume this is a dumba** Bama fan. I’ll be shocked if it’s an Auburn fan in sheep’s clothing, for example.

PJ I heard a greasy faded red ballcap with a stylized A on it was found on the guy’s seat. It’s starting to look like a gen-u-ine Aladadgumbammaramajammarolltide Billy Clyde Bama fan.
Yeah, I kinda think this shirt is pretty tame compared to the introduction of Miller by frisking him just a few days after the murder. That demonstrated that the team and coaching staff are all tone deaf to that Mother’s death. For me, that proved exactly how much concern they actually had regarding her murder.
