TCU 82, Arkansas 78

Frogs scored 10 straight points to take command and made free throws to hold on despite a late Hog flurry. Okonkwo scored 36 points for them. They hit 23 of 25 FTs to our 10 of 15.

Hard fought game just too many turnovers by our hogs. What a blast is to watch them play!

Gotta get some size. The gals fought hard. They were cruising then had a long period of not scoring.

Coach Neighbors will get it done.

The size is on the way in the pipeline. Get that inside presence and they will be hard to beat.

TCU played their best game of the year and unfortunately that happened while playing us. We played well, but it wasn’t our best game. Obviously not every game can be.

Regardless, I’m very pleased and satisfied with the ladies. They greatly exceeded my mine and most everyone’s expectations. With a top 15 class and 5 star Amber Ramirez who is sitting out this year due to the transfer rule, next year we should be more competitive. Especially since 4 star Destinee Oberg gives us size that is missing in this year’s team. However, I can’t help being very concerned over her back injury (bulging disk).

I thought Arkansas put on a master class in the final 60 seconds in how to extend a game. Of course it began with making some threes, but if you couldn’t see Mike Neighbors’ coaching ability at the end, you’re blind. TCU made its free throws, otherwise the Razorbacks might have pulled off an incredible last-minute comeback.
