Stumble but no tumble

Really enjoyed talking to Jeremy Rose, Tim Ritchey & Randy Moss. Something I’ve wanted to write for awhile since Afleet Alex is my all time favorite horse.

Thanks guys. Imagine a 200 meter sprinter rounding the curve and stumbling almost to his knees. No way he recovers and wins.

I’ve never seen anything like what Alex did in the stretch. Jeremy’s description of the pic on his wall tells it all and Alex still recovers while running 35 MPH.

Horses are amazing. Champions are as competitive as people. I was fortunate to be in the horse business years ago. Loved every minute.

Horses are amazing, and a primary factor in the development and advancement of human civilization. They provided transportation and power in military and industrial applications. The passage from the book of Job at the beginning of the movie “Secretariat” that describes their character and bravery as partners with men in battle demonstrates perfectly that value.
