…you get to see how much waiting and standing around goes on during a match. Yesterday, I got to see Zach Johnson accidentally hit the ball when he was warming up. He barely caught it and it shot to the side into the wood log tee marker and back to the other side of the tee box. His playing partner and the two caddies were shaking trying not to laugh. I am telling my wife how I have never seen that done by any pro and the announcers are saying the same thing. They quickly confirmed there was no penalty since he was not trying to hit the ball. On the main telecast, that would not have been shown live. The initial Feature Group is McElroy and Leishman. They will switch to Phil and Kuchar later and then end up featuring Tiger and Poulter. Interesting way to watch the Masters while waiting for the leaders to tee off.
They have a huge board to the side with the top thirty or so players shown. Tony Finau just birdied the first two holes to go to minus 5.
Did you watch Li have to stand there and watch Stenson pick up blades of grass for what seemed liked 10 minutes and tossing them in the air? Ridiculous, they need a shot clock on them.
DirecTV has the Masters Mosaic available on channel 701, showing the main feed, the featured groups, Amen Corner, and 15 & 16. I have used that to watch for years. I love it.
