Have the Hogs announced a starter yet?
Yes, Isaiah Campbell. I wrote about it last night: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2018 … rn-sunday/
This is a great setup for a great story. Hog’s Campbell returns to form and dominates Auburn to sweep the series. The only thing better would be for Gabe Gross to be there and have him eat crow for his comments during Auburn’s beatdown of Arkansas last year when he said Arkansas was not equipped to compete with an elite program like Auburn.
I sure hope we see the focused, strike throwing Campbell today.
When he is on, he is so good. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been “on” a whole lot of the time. And when he starts out bad, he gets worse. I’d expect him to be pulled pretty fast if he is walking people.
Fingers crossed.
Echo this.
My game-watching buddies and I have labeled it “Good Campbell/Bad Campbell”. You usually know within the first few batters which has shown up that day.
It is going to be a shorter start for Campbell regardless of whether he is pitching well or poorly. He is on a limited pitch count today.
really pulling for the young man,he’s has great talent as he showed against Kentucky,he just has to get his arm feeling good and be able to control the ball his performance against Kent was the best pitching we have seen this yr…throwing 96 mph on his 99th pitch and totally dominated the best offense in the country
Well, it’s been a rocky start for him. Spotting AU a 3 run lead makes it tough. Our bats need to be on to salvage the sweep. So far, that doesn’t look too promising.
