This is the guy who can make such a difference in the Arkansas lineup if he catches fire against SEC pitching. He’s got big-time power. Just doesn’t make contact enough against top flight pitching. He takes a lot of pitches waiting for mistakes. He’s got to go ahead and hit that fast ball when it’s thrown. He’s good to lay off breakers and he gets a steady diet of those. But he didn’t catch up to the fast ball when it was thrown. He’d foul it off. If he can put the fast ball in play, with his power, he’s going to hit a lot of home runs. But he’s got to put it in play.
