Something worth watching

LSU’s final game at South Carolina was called off today due to rain. They finished the series with a 1-1 tie.

Arkansas appears to be LSU’s only real challenger in the SEC West, but LSU’s tiebreaker goes out the window if they don’t play the same number of games. Assuming both teams don’t have any other cancelations in conference play, Arkansas would win the division if they finish with the same number of losses because the Razorbacks would have one more victory. On the flip side, LSU would win the division if they finish with the same number of victories because the Razorbacks would have one more loss.

I would be a little surprised if Arkansas keeps pace with LSU, but the injuries to the Tigers’ pitching staff are worth watching. Chase Shores was out this week with an undisclosed injury and Garrett Edwards left yesterday’s game with an apparent elbow injury.

It is what it is but ties or loss of games create havoc with standings

Sometimes takes a math major to figure it out

My understanding is that Arkansas is 1/2 game ahead of LSU right now.
