I’ve been excited for some time about a project that I began in the middle of March. I wrote a script for a national championship baseball game. It’s about to come to fruition, thanks to Chuck Barrett. He’s taken my script and gone with it. It is a game between the 1979 Razorbacks against the 2018 Razorbacks. I’m pretty sure I know the ending, but it’s really up to Chuck to finish it the way he wants. We’ve talked about it a little bit, but until I listen to it, I won’t know for sure. It’s going to take a few more days, but Chuck has started on the process of doing the recreation. It will be played on some of the ESPN stations in the state – 104.3 and 96.3. I’m sure it will be available to listen to via podcast, too.
I wish we could see such a thing. Just yesterday, we were bemoaning the fact that our high expectations for a successful season ending with a trip to Omaha were cut short from a virus.
That was not yesterday. It was 3 very long months ago. Among the longest 3 months I’ve ever known.
That will be awesome! Can’t wait!
Let us know as soon as it is scheduled. I can’t wait to hear it!
I am convinced that had it not been for the virus, the hogs would have won their first NC in Omaha. I know this in part because we had the damned virus. It’s just our luck that it’d wipe out our championship season.
You may be right. I know the coaches really liked this team.
