Cayden Wallace was named SEC freshman of the week. That is the third time he has earned that award.

Speaking of awards, SEC postseason awards and all-conference teams should be announced today.
Are the yearly awards voted on by the coaches, or the media, or by some staff guy in the SEC office?
Those are voted on by coaches.
I think Van Horn will be coach of the year, Kopps might be pitcher of the year and Wallace might be freshman of the year, and there will be several Razorbacks on the various All-SEC teams. There will be a first team, second team, freshman team and defensive team.
What about the weekly awards, who chooses them?
I’m not sure if it is only the SEC’s baseball communications director or if there are others in the conference office involved in the selection process.
The candidates are nominated by baseball SIDs.
