I presume we put in a bid. Ole Miss did, I know, and I’m sure Alabama, LSU and Florida did as well. Four SEC schools in the top 6 of RPI, and nine in the top 20 (Rebnecks are not one of those nine).
Arkansas submitted a bid.
Given the RPI of 6 and ranking (Coaches #10, USA Softball #8, Softball America #10, D1Softball #8) I would think the Hogs would be close to if not in the top 8 seeds and thus possibly with a home regional and super (meaning they’d avoid the death march to Norman for the super).
The top 8 RPI are UCLA, Bama, Florida, LSU, Florida State, us, Mobilehoma, Okie Lite. We have LSU this weekend at Red Stick too; could be a battle for national seed as well as to win the SEC title.
The NCAA announced 20 potential host sites today. Arkansas is among that group.
That’s really good news. It’s some indication the NCAA isn’t letting the recent laws passed by the legislature to affect us. At least not this year.
