Softball at Georgia game 3

Going for the sweep at Athens and off to a great start. Braxton Burnside hit her 22nd homer in the top of the first and Kayla Green hit a three-run shot, her 10th, later in the inning. Now 4-0, still batting and Georgia has already changed pitchers.

Georgia got a leadoff homer but Jenna Bloom struck out the next three hitters. 4-1 Hogs after 1 inning

Hogs 3 up 3 down in the second. Georgia got a leadoff hit but stranded her at third. 4-1 after two.

Hannah McEwen led off the third with a shot over the pine trees behind the right field wall, her fourth of the year. 5-1 Hogs.

Georgia got a solo homer in the bottom of the third. Ball is flying today in Dawgtown. 5-2 after 3 full

Autumn Storms relieved in the fifth and got a double play grounder to get out of a jam. Still 5-2.

Hogs win 5-2. Mary Haff came on in the seventh to get the last two outs and the save after a Georgia single.

Hogs now 16-2 in the SEC. Florida lost to Bama so we picked up a game on the Wallets, who are 12-3.
