The first sporting event of the 2018-19 school year will be Saturday night when the Arkansas soccer team hosts Kansas State in an exhibition at Razorback Field. The match begins at 6:30.
Arkansas appears to have another pretty good team this year and should probably be picked in the top half of the SEC. The scrimmage is the earliest Arkansas has ever played and will come after only a few practices. Typically the exhibitions are played more toward the middle of the month.
There are two exhibitions before the season begins. Arkansas will play at Nebraska later this month, then opens with a neutral-site event in Pennsylvania, which will include a matchup against West Virginia, a Final Four team from a year ago.
