Moore pulls most of what he hits from the left side. Teams have shifted on him a lot the past month and taken away a lot of hits.
It amazes me that anyone can think this team is anything but offensively inept. Yet another mediocre pitcher having a career game against undisciplined hitters.

Van Horn said after the Texas A&M game a week and a half ago that it is tough to motivate players for these midweek games at this point in the year. They have looked kind of uninterested tonight. I’m sure they will hear about it afterward.

Just playing very poorly tonight. We haven’t even threatened. We’re down to 6 outs to make up a 2 run deficit. Don’t like our chances.
So make an adjustment. He’s not even hitting .250.
Time to sacrifice a chicken.

Well he won’t have to do that anymore this year thank goodness… now maybe they can practice some and get better in the process

I’m not sure he has the mindset to make an adjustment. Somehow he has it in his head he’s a dead pull power hitter. I’d love to see him spray the ball around.

Well in his defense when you have squared up as many balls as he has you know your stroke is okay his problem is his plate discipline is not nearly as good this year, he takes pitches he should be swinging at and then he swings it pitches he shouldn’t and that goes from trying too hard to make up for all the times he’s been robbed.

I’ve always thought the team has benefitted from the extra practice time in May. The end of classes also probably has something to do with it. All of the focus will be on baseball in about 11 days.

Yes Matt I was talking to a good friend of mine the other day and I said I think we start playing our best ball toward the end because we don’t have all these midweek games and we can work on the fundamentals more. Let’s hope it happens this year
